Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev failed to reach the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna.

In the second round match, Medvedev, who received the sixth seed, lost to the 36th racket of the world to the Frenchman Corentin Moutet – 6:7 (3:7), 4:6. During the meeting, the Russian asked for a medical time-out due to problems with his right ankle.

Last week, the rivals met in the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Kazakhstan, in that match Medvedev was stronger – 7:5, 4:6, 6:3.
