Rybakina has qualified for the WTA Finals, Andreeva and Aleksandrova will be reserves
Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan will play at the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Final Tournament in Riyadh, according to the WTA website.
Rybakina became the eighth participant in singles after reaching the semifinals of the tournament in Tokyo. The representative of Kazakhstan was ahead of the Russian Mirra Andreeva in the fight for the last ticket to the Final Tournament.
Previously, Belarusian Arina Sabalenka, Polish Iga Szwiatek, Italian Jasmine Paolini, Americans Cori Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys qualified for the Finals. Andreeva and another Russian, Ekaterina Alexandrova, will be reserves.
Rybakina will compete at the WTA Finals for the third time in a row.
The competition in the capital of Saudi Arabia will be held November 1–8.
