Gauff beat Paolini in the WTA Final Tournament match, the Italian lost her chances of qualifying from the group
The third racket of the world, American Cori Gauff, beat Italian Jasmine Paolini (8) in the match of the WTA Final Tournament in Saudi Arabia.
The group stage meeting ended with Gauff winning with a score of 6:3, 6:2. The match lasted 1 hour 18 minutes. Paolini suffered two defeats from the start of the competition and lost her chances of reaching the playoffs.
The same quartet features Belarusian Arina Sabalenka and American Jessica Pegula. The tournament runs from November 1st to 8th.
