(London) Canadian Victoria Mboko as well as Janice Tjen, Lilli Tagger, Arnaud Bailly and Luka Mikrut were selected by a jury to be part of the 2025 class of the International Tennis Federation, a group considered “promising and revolutionary” in this sport.

The names of the five players were revealed this week, based on their performances during the ITF World Tour season.

Mboko, a 19-year-old Ontarian, won four consecutive titles and 22 matches in a row on the ITF world circuit earlier this year, before winning at the National Bank Open in Montreal, a WTA 1000 category tournament, after being a guest of the organizing committee.

A few months earlier, Mboko had reached the third round at the French Open, his first career appearance at a Grand Slam tournament.

Ranked 350e in the world at the start of the year, Mboko climbed the ranks in a dazzling manner to the point of reaching 18e step.

Tjen, 23, has won five consecutive ITF World Tennis Tour titles, including a 27-match winning streak, and became the first Indonesian player to appear in the main draw of a Grand Slam since 2004 at the US Open, beating No. 24e top seed, Veronika Kudermetova.

Tjen won her first WTA Tour trophy in November.
