Tarpishchev called Mirra Andreeva the best Russian tennis player in 2025
The President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RFF), Shamil Tarpishchev, named Mirra Andreeva the best Russian tennis player in 2025.
Andreeva is 18 years old; in the 2025 season, the Russian woman won two titles at WTA 1000 tournaments. At the moment, Andreeva is ranked ninth in the world rankings.
– Three of our tennis players are playing in pairs at the Final Tournament – this is a great success. For women, the generational change is almost complete, there are a lot of young people, we are optimistic. Based on the results, Andreeva is the best singles tennis player of the year.
