Kudermetova and Mertens became winners of the WTA Final Tournament in doubles

Russian Veronika Kudermetova and Belgian Elise Mertens became the winners of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Final Tournament in doubles.
In the final, the athletes defeated Brazilian Luisa Stefani and Hungarian Timea Babos in two sets – 7:6 (7:4), 6:1. The tennis players spent 1 hour and 39 minutes on the court.
Kudermetova and Mertens won the Final Tournament for the second time; they previously won in 2022.
