Zverev defeated Shelton in the ATP Finals match
German representative Alexander Zverev defeated American Ben Shelton in the group stage match of the ATP Final Tournament in Turin (Italy).
In the first game of the Bjorn Borg group, Zverev defeated Shelton with a score of 6:3, 7:6 (8:6). The meeting lasted 1 hour 33 minutes. The American was never able to take Zverev’s serve.
On Monday there will be two matches: Lorenzo Musetti (Italy, 9) will meet Taylor Fritz (USA, 6), and Jannik Sinner (Italy, 2) will play against Felix Auger-Alassime (Canada, 8). Substitute Musetti entered the main draw after the withdrawal of Novak Djokovic (Serbia, 4), who refused to participate due to injury.
