Two fans died in Italy during the ATP Finals
Two fans died during the Final Tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which takes place in Turin, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is known that one of the deceased was 70 years old, the other was 78. The first man became ill on Monday morning in front of the fan village in the square near the arena where the matches are held. The second one felt unwell while in the stands during the match between Italian Lorenzo Musetti and American Taylor Fritz.
In both cases, paramedics arrived at the scene and attempted resuscitation. Both men were taken to Molinette Hospital in critical condition but died a short time later.
The final ATP tournament takes place in Turin from November 9 to 16.
