On December 17, the first round matches were played in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). ATP Youth Final Tournament 2025.

While Nishesh Basavareddy and Alexander Blocks won the victories in the Red group, Rafael Khodar and Nikolay Budkov Kjær won the matches in the Blue group.

The real sensation in the match against Lerner Tien, the world’s 28th racket and last year’s Next Generation ATP Finals finalist, was Victoria Khodara. Rafael defeated the American in five sets, winning 4 match points and gaining the first victory in his career against a top 100 representative.

Only Blocks could reach favorite status against Justin Engel on Thursday. Basavareddy, Hodar and Budkov Kjaer were the underdogs against Dino Prizmic, Thien and Martin Landalus respectively.
