Federer to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame
Former world number one, Swiss Roger Federer, will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2026, according to the ATP website.
In September 2022, Federer announced his retirement from sports. He has won 20 Grand Slam titles, a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in doubles and a silver at the 2012 London Games in singles.
“I have always appreciated the history of tennis and the example of those who played before me. This recognition from my colleagues is a huge honor. I didn’t think I would have so many Grand Slam titles. To be honest, I was hoping to win at least one,” AP quotes Federer as saying.
