Ana Ivanovic began divorce proceedings with Bastian Schweinsteiger and demanded alimony
Former Serbian world number one Ana Ivanovic has filed for divorce from the world football champion in the German national team Bastian Schweinsteiger, Bild reports.
The couple had been married for nine years. The divorce process was initiated by 38-year-old Ivanovich. The ex-tennis player’s representative, Christian Scherz, said that the couple was breaking up due to “irreconcilable differences.” The final decision was made back in July, but the divorce process was hampered by the need to divide property.
According to the source, Ivanovich filed an application for alimony for three children with the Munich district court. Ana has three sons with Bastian: Luca, Leon and Theo. Ivanovich and his children live on the island of Mallorca.
