Sport.ua together with a betting partner bet announcing the upcoming fight!
Marta Kostyuk
Ukraine’s second racquet looks amazing at the beginning of the season, it’s not just about the results, it’s also about the game itself, you can see the work done and the progress in many components. Kostyuk started in Brisbane by defeating Yulia Putintseva with scores of 6:7, 6:1, 6:0, and then defeated the world’s number three racket, Amanda Anisimova, with scores of 6:4, 6:3. The match against the ninth-ranked racket “neutral” Mirra Andreeva was also exciting: 7:5, 6:3.
The Ukrainian will be playing his third match in a row against a top 10 opponent, so this fact should not bother him at all. His successful performance in Brisbane saw him move up to 21st in the live rankings, but we can’t stop there.
Jessica Pegula
The American athlete has been safely in the top 10 for four years now, with no intention of slowing down. Pegula is a hard-working and experienced tennis player who will be 32 in February but still hasn’t won a slam.
Here the athlete started with a 6:2, 2:6, 6:4 victory against the “neutral” Anna Kalinskaya and managed to come back from 2:4 in the third set. Then there was another tough fight against Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska – 5:7, 6:2, 6:3 and again a comeback from 0:2 in the third set. Pegula won the quarter-final match against the “neutral” Lyudmila Samsonova – 6:3, 7:6, where the American won 0:3 in the first game and 2:4 in the second game.
personal meetings
Athletes have a history of head-to-head clashes; They played each other five times until the score was 4:1 in favor of the American; all matches were played on hard courts.
To guess
A ticket to the final of a prestigious tournament is at stake; There will be absolutely no problems with motivation. Bookmakers should give the advantage to the American, but I think that Kostyuk’s chances of winning here and now are definitely not worse.
I expect an exciting match between two strong and focused tennis players. We will have to play with the winner of the Sabalenka – Muchova pair in the final. Here I will bet on the victory of Ukraine with a game handicap of +2.5 for 1.75.
