Mirra Andreeva failed to serve twice due to a train whistle
A train prevented Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva from serving during her quarterfinal match at a tournament in Brisbane (Australia) against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.
Andreeva was about to throw the first serve, but when the Russian woman tossed the ball, a train whistle sounded. When the 18-year-old tennis player tossed the ball a second time, the driver sounded the sound signal again. The participants in the meeting, the referee and the fans reacted to what was happening with laughter.
There is a railway station next to the Queensland Tennis Centre, where the competitions take place.
Andreeva lost to Kostyuk with a score of 6:7 (7:9), 3:6 and ended her performances in Brisbane.
