Sabalenka beat Kostyuk and defended her title at the tournament in Brisbane
The first racket of the world, Belarusian Arina Sabalenka, won the tournament in Brisbane (Australia).
In the final, Sabalenka beat Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (16th seed) with a score of 6:4, 6:3. The meeting lasted 1 hour 18 minutes. The score in personal matches was 5–0 in favor of the 27-year-old Belarusian; she did not lose a single set to Kostyuk.
Sabalenka, who won Brisbane for the second time in a row, won her 22nd trophy at the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournaments.
