Sachko advances to second round of Australian Open 2026 qualifiers
Ukrainian tennis player Vitaly Sachko (ATP 166) won the opening match in the 2026 Australian Open qualifiers.

Sachko played his second head-to-head match with Durasovic and defeated the Norwegian for the second time. Vitaly completed 25k in the Czech Republic in 2021.
Sachko got his first win in the 2026 season. He lost to Patrick Kipson in the first round of the ATP 250 competition in Hong Kong last week.
In the second qualifying round, Vitaly will face Canadian representative Liam Draxl (ATP 145), whom he has never played with before.
Sachko competed in the Australian slam qualifiers (2022, 2024) for the third time in his career and managed to get past the opening round for the third time. He never reached the final of the selection.
