Ukrainian tennis player Vitaly Sachko (ATP 166) has a new opponent in the 2026 Australian Open qualifiers.

In the first round, the Ukrainian player had to play against the US representative Michael Mmo (ATP 228) but the American withdrew from the major due to an injury he suffered at a competition in Hong Kong last week.

I entered the qualifying group instead of MMO Viktor Durasovic (Norway, ATP 323). If Vitaly is considered an underdog against Mmo, then against the Norwegian the bookmakers see the Ukrainian as the favorite.

Previously, Sachko had played against Durasovic only once. In 2021, Vitaly beat Victor in the 25,000-meter gravel climb in the Czech Republic.

The meeting between Sachko and Durasovich will take place on the night of January 13 and will start around 05.30 Kiev time. In the second round, the winner of this match will face Moirani Budziga (Australia, ATP 467) or Liam Draxl (Canada, ATP 145).
