Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok She reached the final of the WTA 500 doubles tournament held in Adelaide, Australia.

In the super tiebreak, Kichenok and Krawczyk lost 4:6 but managed to defeat their opponents.

In the cup competition, Lyudmila and Desiree will compete against the second-place duo Katerina Sinyakova (Czech Republic) / Zhang Shuai (China).

Kichenok and Kravchki are holding their first joint competition since 2019. In the 1/8 finals they eliminated Irina Khromacheva and Alexandra Panova, and in the quarter-finals they were supposed to play with Xie Shuwei and Alena Ostapenko, but due to the injury of the Latvian, the meeting did not take place.

Lyudmila Kichenok will make her 25th final at Tour level and her first since June 2025, when she and Ellen Perez were defeated in Bad Homburg in their bid for the 500th trophy. Kichenok will compete for the 12th championship in his career.

The Adelaide doubles final between Kichenok / Kravchik and Sinyakova / Zhang Shuai will take place on January 16 and will start at around 11:30 Kiev time.
