Preseason with Alcaraz did not help: the 22nd issue of the ATP quickly left AO-2026
Ranked 22nd in the ATP world rankings Flavio Cobolli (Italy) Finished competing at the 2026 Australian Open.
In the first round, the Italian was defeated by the British representative in three sets. Arthur Fery (ATP 185), although he is considered the favorite. The meeting ended in 2 hours and 14 minutes.

This was the first head-to-head meeting between the rivals. Feri became the first name to win in the men’s category this year.
Arthur makes his debut on the Melbourne courts. He beat Edward Winter, Bernard Tomic and Dino Prizmic in the rankings. His next opponent will be either Miomir Kecmanovic or Thomas Martin Etcheverry.
Cobolli spent pre-season training with world number one Carlos Alcaraz. Before the Australian Open, Flavio played two matches for Italy in the United Cup; Win against Stan Wawrinka and defeat against Arthur Rinderknes.
