Schneider beats Krejcikova to reach the second round of the Australian Open

Russian tennis player Diana Schneider reached the second round of the Australian Open.

In the first round, the Russian woman, seeded 23rd at the tournament, beat Barbora Krejcikova from the Czech Republic with a score of 2:6, 6:3, 6:3. The duration of the match was 2 hours 12 minutes.

The winner of two Grand Slam singles tournaments, Krejcikova took a long medical timeout in the third game due to a left knee injury.

In the next round, Schneider will play against Australian representative Talia Gibson.
