Djokovic wins 100th Australian Open match in his career
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has reached the second round of the Australian Open.
At the start of the competition, Djokovic, who received the fourth seed, beat the 71st racket of the world, Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero. The meeting lasted 2 hours and ended with a score of 6:3, 6:2, 6:2 in favor of the Serbian.
Djokovic is 38 years old, a ten-time Australian Open singles champion, and his victory in this match was his 100th in the tournament. The Serbian became the first player in history to win a hundred or more games at three different Grand Slam tournaments (101 – Roland Garros, 102 – Wimbledon).
In the next round, Djokovic will face Italian Francesco Maestrelli.
