Rublev defeated Faria in the second round of the Australian Open
Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev beat Portuguese Jaime Faria in the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne.
The meeting between the Russian and the Portuguese, who had qualified for the main draw, ended with the score 6:4, 6:3, 4:6, 7:5. The match lasted 2 hours 50 minutes.
In the next round, the 13th tournament seed Rublev will play against the Argentinean Francisco Serundolo (18).
