Svitolina’s opponent in the Australian Open 2026 1/16 final has been announced
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (WTA 12) found its opponent in the final of the Australian Open 2026 1/16.
In the third round, the Ukrainian player will play against the world’s 22nd racket Diana Schneideracting in a “neutral” status.
Schneider wins in two sets in second round at Australian Open Talia Gibson (Australia, WTA 119) In 2 hours 15 minutes.
In the second set, Gibson had three match points with a score of 5:4 in the 10th game, but unfortunately the Australian could not convert any of them.
Svitolina had never played against Schneider before. Elina’s meeting with the “neutral” will take place on Friday, January 23.
Svitolina defeated Linda Klimovicheva in two games in the 1/32 final.
