Mirra Andreeva was accused of obscene insults to fans at the Australian Open
Social media users accused Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva of obscenely insulting fans at the Australian Open.
On Wednesday, Andreeva beat Greece’s Maria Sakkari in the second round of the Australian Open with a score of 6:0, 6:4. After the match point, the Russian woman applauded the audience and uttered a phrase that was not heard in the broadcast.
Users on social networks believe that 18-year-old Andreeva swore at the fans: “100% She said it!”, “She said exactly what you think,” “If she said it, then I will be a fan of Mirra all my life!”
The other half states that the Russian woman thanked the fans: “No, she didn’t do that. She said “thank you everyone,” “I think so, but she seemed to be thanking the crowd.”
In the third round of the Australian Open, the Russian will play with Elena Gabriela Ruze from Romania.
