Per – Tsitsipas 1-3: Stefanos undefeated in the ’16’ of the Australian Open

In the fourth round of the Australian Open, Stefanos Tsitsipas qualified after a great fight against a 3-1 set by Benoit Perr.

The No. 4 in the world rankings had a hard time against the 32-year-old Frenchman (No. 56), who increased his performance vertically from the second set.

Stefanos Tsitsipas ended the first set early. Taking advantage of Per’s sluggish start, Steph played with great determination, getting breaks quickly in game two and then just holding serve to finish the set 6-3.

Unlike the first set, we had a big fight between the two tennis players in the second set. Per started his own with many drop shots.

Both were able to hold their serve until the 5-5. At this point, Tsitsipas played a terrible game, creating the break and then finishing the set 7-5.

In the third set, Per brought even more dropshots into his game and became more aggressive, giving Stefanos Tsitsipas no chance of a break.

The Greek tennis player did the same, with the result that the two settled their differences in the tiebreak. There, Per exploited all of Tsitsipas’ mistakes and shortened sentences to 2:1.

The picture was similar in the fourth set, only Stefanos Tsitsipas managed to end the qualifying case by tying the crucial break in game ten to end the match 6-4.
