Kyrgios for Kokkinaki: ‘I know this kid is going out tonight so girls get ready’
Nick Kyrgios had an appetite for humor and banter after winning the Australian Open title with the duo Thanasis Kokkinakis and said his team-mate was going out to party and urged the girls to get ready.
Thanasis Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios celebrated the title in doubles at the Australian Open, both of whom were in the mood for teasing in the flash interview after the end of the game. In particular, Kyrgios wanted to make a joke and tease his teammate and urge the girls to get ready as they were going out to party in Melbourne.
“Nick, I love you, my brother,” Kokkinakis said after winning the title and continued. “I can say we certainly didn’t expect to come close to that title and with people’s help the whole week has been incredible. The coverage of the event and the confidence we received was all we needed and we couldn’t ask for anything more.”
For his part, Nick Kyrgios wanted to make a bit of humor by saying: “It was a dream come true. I wouldn’t want to do it with any other teammate. Max has been in the final twice and Mati has had a great career. I’m just really happy, I don’t even know how we did it or what will happen, to be perfectly honest.
Thanasis, you have matured and it’s nice to see that. I don’t know how we did it. But I know this guy’s walking out of here today, so get ready girls. “Okay, I have to stop now, I’ve exceeded the limit.”
