Tsitsipas approached Zverev, Djokovic remains in 1st place

Daniel Medvedev failed to win the 2nd Grand Slam series and 1st Australian Open of his career knowing the loss to Rafa Nadal in last Sunday’s epic final (30/1) which resulted in his not appearing 1st place in the world rankings.
However, what the Russian managed to do was further close the gap on Novak Djokovic to 890 points, with the renewed ATP list finding him 2nd with 10,125 points while Djokovic has 11,015 points.
The Serb may have stayed at the top of the list for 358 weeks, but that could change as Djokovic is set to lose the 2,000 points he won at last year’s Australian Open on 2/22. won, which were recalled in February due to a pandemic.
