World champions Italy beat Poland 3-1
After 24 years, Italy were crowned volleyball world champions after beating Poland 3-1 in Katowice. Brazil Bronze.
Italy returned to the top of world volleyball after 24 years. The Italians beat Poland 3-1 in a set and even survived the final in Katowice.
After winning the European Championship a year ago, he also managed to win gold at the World Championship. The Italians played a great tournament in general, but they were lovely in the final.
Lavia was excellent, stopping on 19 points while Mikaletto and Romano were close behind on 14 and 13 points respectively. On the other hand, Slivka and Semenyuk stood out.
In the short final, Brazil confirmed their superiority and defeated Toncek Stern’s Slovenia 3-1. The new cross from Olympiakos was the Slovenians’ best scorer with 17 points, while the other red-white star had 7.
In the winners, Wallace had a great game with 22 points, while Leal and Lucas followed him with 19 and 12 points.
