Panathinaikos – PAOK 1-3: Emphatic double by Dikefalos in Maroussi
Panathinaikos won the first set, but PAOK, who upped their game, prevailed in sets 3-1, making an important step to take the top spot in the first stage of the men’s volleyball league.
In a tough game that was postponed by half an hour due to too many fans, PAOK defeated Panathinaikos 3-1 in Maroussi has taken an important step to conquer the top in the first phase of the men’s volleyball league.
The match: Everyone expected a strong duel between the two most stable teams this year and this was confirmed from the start of the match.
The two teams went point by point and took turns leading halfway through the first set. Somewhere there, the Greens, armed with their services, managed to pull out a small difference which they kept until the final to win the set 25-23.

The Northern Biceps easily won the third set 25-22 and could have won the fourth even more easily if it weren’t for Jacobsen.
The Panathinaikos captain went to service with a score of 15-20 and when he left the greens had hit the spot. A fight ensued until the final of the set, ending in PAOK 25-27 and the joint win.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
