Panathinaikos – AEK 3: 1: In the Final 4, the Greens also threw Union out

After Olympiakos, Panathinaikos defeated AEK 3-1 to qualify for the Final 4 of the women’s volleyball cup.

Panathinaikos after Olympiakos knocked AEK out of the cup. The Greens prevailed in Maroussi with 3:1 sets against Union and qualified for the Final 4.

The game was basically judged in the first set, in which the two teams put up a great fight, but the Oikonomou players managed to pull off the surprise and win.

From then on and beyond, Panathinaikos had more solutions than AEK on all critical points and managed to secure a fair win and qualification.

The game: The first set was full of big surprises, mostly stemming from the service. Which team spoiled the opponent’s reception ran a long series.

Panathinaikos came into play better and led 9:2. AEK’s response was impressive. Arseniadis players not only made up the difference, but led 15:20 and ran 6:18!

However, the Greens did not leave the sentence and in turn caused another stir. Konstantinos services changed the flow of sets, which went to Panathinaikos with 25-23.

With psychology on their side and everything working around the clock, the Greens even led by 12 points in the second set (22-10). AEK counterattacked and took the difference but couldn’t do anything and Panathinaikos made it 2-0 at 25-18.

In the third set, the Greens were again in front of their longest duration, but this time the Union players caused the surprise. After Dioti made a big showing, he turned the set and managed to win it 25-21, sending the match into the fourth set.

There Panathinaikos was superior and achieved the victory qualification which earned him the title of favorite in the Final 4 of the cup.
