Spartak Miyava 1-3 Panathinaikos: Comfortable double in Slovakia and lead in qualifying
Panathinaikos beat Spartak Miyava 3-1 in Slovakia, taking the first step towards qualifying for the main stage of the Challenge Cup.
Panathinaikos took the first of two steps needed to qualify for the main stage of the Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup, winning 3-1 sets ten days before the championship began.
Panathinaikos won the first two sets very easily while leading 13-10 in the third set. There was a relaxation there, some changes were made and the rhythm was lost and the home team with Vatska, Viskup made the reversal and took the set, which was reduced to 1-2.
Panathinaikos came back strong in the 4th set and won easily in a 3-1 set with an advantage on serve that gave him 15 aces. The first scorers were Hernandez, Frankos who scored 22 and 14 points respectively. Both scored 5 aces each.
In eight days (October 19, 6:30 p.m.) comes revenge in OAKA, with the Greens taking the lead to qualify for the main stage of the tournament as a 3-2 loss will be enough to qualify for the next to qualify phase.

Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time
Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

Kazan “Zenit” reached the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv became the first finalist of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Dynamo Moscow in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.

The final match will take place on December 26.
