“In America, probably, not a single material about my transfer.” Volleyball player Anderson – about the transition to Zenit

The leader of the US national volleyball team Matthew Anderson, who moved to Zenit from St. Petersburg, said that he had not seen any statements in the American press about this.

The signing of the contract with the player became known on September 14th. After the World Volleyball Championship and a long vacation, he joined the Russian team.

As part of the US national team, 35-year-old Anderson became the bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympics and the 2018 World Cup.

– In America, probably, not a single material about my transfer. Volleyball is not that popular. Maybe, if information appeared only in some blogs. But I have not seen any official statements in the press.

But the attitude is the same as everywhere else: some are happy, others are disappointed and do not understand my decision. But these people are not my family and not my friends. They just talk, so let them keep talking,” Anderson said to the “Championship”.

Anderson is the winner of the World League and the World Cup, a four-time winner of the Champions League and the Russian Championship, he won the club world championship.
