Aristotelis – Athlos 3:2: First victory after a surprise
Aristotelis, after a turnaround, defeated Athlos 3-2 in a thrilling match as the Skydra team claimed their first Volley League victory.

He managed to win the 3rd set 27-25, despite losing to Aristotle 24-23 due to an attacking error by De Pra. Genoff and Kasambalis with blocks gave Athlos a 25-24 lead, Jackson equalized 25-25, but Kayo with an attack and Algoul with a block made it 27-25 and 2-1 for the Orestiada team
The 4th set was also exciting, which was also decided 27-25, but for Aristotelis, even if this time Athlos was the first to score a point before winning the match. He led 24-23 on Jackson’s missed serve and 25-24 with De Pra, but Jackson equalized with an attack and two errors by De Pra (an outside attack and a block by Chelio) made it 27-25 and 2-2 for the Skydra team.
In the tiebreak and with the score at 7:7, Mendez made it 8:7. Proussalis served and with an ace and a 6-0 aggregate run, he gave Aristotelis a crucial lead, who secured the precious victory by taking the first 2 points in the championship.
