Women’s Volley League: Anthouli leads 2nd round
Martha Anthoulis won the Women’s Volleyball League Matchday 2 title for her great performance against Olympiakos.
Panathinaikos’ Martha Anthoulis is the KYANA MVP of Round 2 of the 2022-2023 Women’s Volleyball League Championship.
The “green” international diagonal in the derby with Olympiacos led with 24 points at 65% offensive efficiency (22/34 ended with 1 ace and 1 block) and led their team to a 3-0 set win.
“I’m very happy to be named MVP. I want to thank my team for helping me achieve this. That win against Olympiacos was very important. Despite losing to PAOK in the first game, we came back strong and gave 100% of ourselves. We look at each game individually.

Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time
Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.
