Competing protagonists were Van de Dries and Gujs Jorna. From Aristotle, Flores Jackson was the leader in attack and reception and was also his side’s top scorer with 13 points.

Before the guests could react, PAOK’s good tactics in the block neutralized Mendez and Van de Dries and Rapti dominated the net to 14-6. The gap widened further with Walsh’s block on Mendez and Mendez’s error, Rojas shot the gap to +12 (22-10). The set ended with a Van de Dries attack.

It was Jorna’s turn in the second set and quickly opened the 7-4 with four personal points (three from attack and one from blocking). Rapti’s serve again made it difficult for Aristotle to arrive and with Van de Dries feeding quickly at the near post, PAOK started a fresh 3-0 run to make it 16-8. The Belgian also finished the 2nd set 25-20 and 2-0 in the set.

The 3rd set was more even as Aristotelis got away at his best point in the game 8-4 against Flores and Vlachopoulos. PAOK responded with Walsh’s serve. With an overall run of 6-0, PAOK overtook Aristoteles as if he had been stopped at 10-8. At the most crooked point of the game, there were fights at the net and a point-to-point rally up to 18:18.
