Panathinaikos and Thetis Voulas meet Pfeffingen and Bydgosz away respectively and are looking for two sets that will give them qualification for the “32” of the challenge cup.

Aiming to qualify for the Round of 32 of the Women’s Challenge Cup, Panathinaikos are in Switzerland where they meet Pfeffingen on Wednesday 30 November at 20.30.

In the first indoor game of Agios Thomas, the “Greens” won 3-0 sets and to get the ticket for the next phase of the competition, they need two sets.

Panathinaikos celebrated a 3-0 home win over Thetida, while Pfeffingen were beaten by Swiss leaders Nosatel to drop to the penultimate spot with 6 points and a 2-5 record.

Panathinaikos passer Athena Papafotiou said: “We have an important game in the home game of the Swiss team. We may have won the first game 3-0, but every game has its own challenges and we will choose to qualify. Along with the result, we’re interested in improving our own game and building our stability.”

Two sets separate Thetida Voulas from a major Women’s Challenge Cup ’32’ qualifier which she aims to seal in Poland against Legionovo in a repeat of her 3-0 set win at ‘Melina Merkouri’ in Renti.

The team from Voula made the first step in Greece and will be invited against the Polish team to get a ticket for the next phase of the competition (30.11., 20.00).

Although Thetida lost 3-0 sets on Matchday 7 of the Women’s Volley League, they have put the defeat behind them and returned to their European commitments.

At the Polish championship, Legionovo lost 3-0 to Bydgosz and remains without a win after 5 games.
