Panathinaikos defeated Pfeffingen 3-2 in Switzerland to reach the round of 32 where they meet Nantes
Panathinaikos didn’t play well but defeated Pfeffingen in Switzerland 3-2 and qualified for the round of 32 of the CEV Challenge Cup where they meet Nantes of France.
Panathinaikos won 3-2 sets against Pfeffingen in Switzerland and qualified for the “32” of the Women’s Challenge Cup with two wins.
Two sets were enough for the “Greens” to get the ticket to the next phase of the institution, but they managed to leave Switzerland with the win. Panathinaikos’ next opponents are France’s Nantes, whose first game is on December 20 in France.
Martha Anthoulis was the first scorer of Panathinaikos and the game with 24 points, Andora Anae stopped at 20 with 4 blocks, while a very good performance, especially in attack, was provided by central players Irini Hatzieustratiadou (15 points) and Sofia Medits ( 14 points) .

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

Volleyball players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” beat “Nova” and won their fifth victory in a row in the Super League
St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
