From then on, Panathinaikos has always strived for the top and the best in every institution it competes in and it is in this context that one of Greece’s leading coaches, Yiannis Kalmazidis, comes to the department.
This is one of the great personalities of domestic volleyball, having competed as an athlete in the following teams:

As a coach he has won six leagues, three cups and two super cups with Olympiakos, Iraklis and PAOKL and he aspires to do the same with Panathinaikos.
In a statement on www.pao1908.com, he said: “I am very happy to be working again at a club as big as Panathinaikos, this time for the women’s section.
This collaboration is a very big challenge for me. I know women’s volleyball and I’ve been on the national team and I think there’s a lot of room for improvement in Greece.
Panathinaikos has shown in recent years that it is very strong, after all it is also a champion.
We know it’s hard to stay at the top, but it doesn’t stress me, it excites me. From now on we see everything in the stadium. I know quite a few gymnasts because we’ve worked together and I think there’s a good group that I’ll try to contribute to to get even more momentum.”

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.
