The northern suburbs team temporarily fell 6-4, but Dallacura’s winning block opened the gap again to 10-5. A charge from Okosanovic drew Kifissia closer to 12-9, but after some time Payenk increased to 14-9.
The “Blue-Whites” showed “stubbornness” and returned to the set win with a 16:14 reduction with a counterattack from Okosanovic and a block from Maikon, while in the set development they gained a “breathing” distance with a place from Chevers 17 -16 The decisive factor in the final outcome of the match was Chandrinos’ successful block which gave Olympiacos a lead of 20-17.Kifisia couldn’t come back as Olympiakos won the set with consecutive aces from Stern 25-18.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.
