Andreopoulos: “The referees are incompetent”
Dimitris Andreopoulos criticized the referees after the end of the game between Panathinaikos and Pegasos.
Dimitris Andreopoulos had complaints from the referee against Pegasos Polichni, who stressed that the problem was general and not unique to this specific game.
The Panathinaikos coach first congratulated Pegasos Polichnis on his victory and then referred to the referees of the match when asked about the many nerves that existed on both sides.
“Did you just see nervousness? Didn’t you see the unacceptable referees? Let someone finally have their say. All the people listening to us will think I’m saying my team lost by refereeing. No, it did nothing to do with it. Pegasus.” won quite well.
But this thing that’s happening with the umpires is about rivers. We should have VAR here because all we can say is that they are incompetent. If we say otherwise, we risk being called by the referee. What the referees did at Panathinaikos today is unacceptable. It’s not a fair game. It doesn’t matter if people are good” he said first and added: “Let’s talk to each other, let’s not talk to each other because they will say we talk to each other because we lost. The Famous Candy”
Then when asked if having VAR in the game would help, he said: “There are no contested periods with televised VAR. We require VAR in all games. The pace is high, the referees are incompetent. A lot of them are. It’s the only solution.”
