Men’s Olympic Volleyball: announces the acquisition of Gustavo
Olympiacos will be strengthened to continue its commitments in Greece and Europe with the acquisition of 37-year-old Brazilian center Gustavo.
A transfer adding another weapon to Giuliani’s quiver was acquired by the Olympiakos men’s volleyball team.
The Red and Whites announced his takeover 37-year-old Brazilian center Gustavo.
The corresponding announcement in detail: “OLYMPIC SFP announces the start of its collaboration with Gustavo Guaselli Bonato (Gustavao). The Brazilian center (2.15m, born 02/01/1986) has signed his new contract and joins the roster of the club’s men’s volleyball team.
Gustavo, with a long career in Brazil and a move from Argentina (2016-17), will be making his second appearance in Europe after his “time” at VC Greenyard Maaseik in Belgium, during which he established himself as the Champions League’s top blocker ( 2020-21).
Gustavo’s statement on olympiacossfp.gr: “I am very happy to be here in the Olympiakos family. I was received very well by everyone and that makes me even more determined to help this great club achieve all the goals they have set for this season. I’m looking forward to my first game in the Olympiakos jersey and to all the games with our fans on the field.”
