PAOK – Panathinaikos 1-3: The Greens made it 5/5 against Dikefalos in a new derbara
Panathinaikos defeated PAOK 3-1, clinching their fifth win in as many games this year against Dikephalos and propelling them into second place overall in the Volley League.
Panathinaikos beat PAOK for the fifth time this season. The Greens prevailed 3-1 in sets at PAOK Sports Artena to move into second place the volleyball league rankings.
The game was exciting going forward and decided in detail, with the players of both teams giving their all in the taraflex.
The match: The race has many different faces. In the first two sets, Panathinaikos and PAOK each dominated one of them.
In the first Panathinaikos was completely dominant and won easily 25-18. PAOK responded just as easily with 25-16 to make a set of 1-1.
From then on we had a crazy derby with a lot of scoring changes for the next two sets where everything was decided in the details.
In the third set, PAOK led by four points (17-13) at halftime. Panathinaikos responded and equalized the set 19-19. The greens hit the bowl set and a double first.
Jorna with an attack and Costa with an ace made it 24-24. Then Kovar and Hernandez finished the set 26-24 to make Panathinaikos 2-1.
The fourth set had a similar development. PAOK led by five points (18-13), Andreopoulos gave the regulars a breather but the Greens took the set to 22-22.
Then we have a terrible fight with the two teams fighting point for point. Eventually we had to go 36-34 to end the set and the match with an attack from Hernandez.

Easy three-point for Milos
AONS Milos returned to victory in Volley League. Sakis Psarra’s team put in a top performance and defeated Pegasos Polichnis with a 3-0 set. This was Milos’ 7th win in 11 league games, catapulting them to 22 points and cementing them in the top 4.
Andreas Andreadis, who was celebrating his birthday, was honored while Luke Herr was honored as MVP Vikos Cola of Matchday 8 before the game.
Pegasos couldn’t break Milos’ reception with his serve and apart from Milis, who scored 15 points, he fell behind offensively.
Milos came in strong with pressure on serve and block and Yortanov, Efraimidis, Molina to score at will. With Lord’s ace, he escaped 8-5 and later 13-9. Pegasos lost with a 3-0 series against Armenakis, Mili with 16:15. Milonas withstood the pressure at reception and maintained a valuable 23-20 lead with Yordanov and Molina. The set ended with Andreadis attacking 25:22 to make it 2:0.
After the 2:0 Pegasus threw in the towel. Milo initially escaped 8:3 with Molina, Andreadis (block). Herr hit back with his serve in a 4:0 run to make it 12:4. The set went without further surprises and Markou finished the set 25:16 to make it 3:0.

Three points remain for Athlos
Athlos Orestiadas celebrated his third championship win and first with a 3-0 set against Aristotelis Skydras, who had won 3-2 sets in the A Round.
With superiority in all areas and especially serving and blocking, Athlos pulled off a clean win that took her to 11 points, which is also identical to Pegasos Polichnis. De Pra, Algoul, Casabalis and Gladstone are the front runners. Aristotle couldn’t resist with claims and never became threatening at any point in the game.
From the start of the game, Athlos had the score under control with a small but decisive advantage. With attacks from Gladstone, he led 5-3 while escaping 14-11 with service from the same player and the ace he was dealt. Aristotle’s reception collapsed. Genoff and De Pra scored at will to open the score to 21-14. The set ended comfortably 25-17 with attacks from Gladstone and Rizopoulos.
Same picture in the 2nd movement. With a recital by Caio De Pra, who scored 5 points in a row, Athlos went 5-0 to 12-6. Only Mendez got some points for Aristotle. With Genoff’s block and back-to-back home team errors, the score was 19-11. Aristotelis managed a 7-0 run with Doudoudis and reduced the lead from 23:15 to 23:21. Doudoudis got an ace, giving his teammates a chance to score easy points. De Pra with an attack and Rizopoulos with an ace ended the match 25-21 for a 2-0 set.
In the third set, Athlos took a 4-0 lead thanks to Rizopoulos’ serve. Athlos retained the lead. Mendez with attacks cut it to 16-14, but Gladstone with a first block and two aces later and a block from Algul went on a 4-0 run to 20-14. The match was decided there, which ended with a 25:19 attack by Glandshawn to make it 3:0.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

Lokomotiv volleyball players beat MSTU in a Russian championship match
Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Moscow MSTU in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in Moscow ended with a score of 3–2 (25:21, 20:25, 25:23, 23:25, 15:10) in favor of the guests.
Lokomotiv scored 44 points and ranks second in the Super League standings, MSTU (6 points) is 16th.

St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
