Asterix – Aris 3-1: Second loss and elimination from the Women’s Challenge Cup
Aris failed to surprise in Belgium and was eliminated from the continuation of the Women’s Challenge Cup with the second loss to Asterix.
With the same score he lost in Thessaloniki (3-1) Aris was also defeated in Beveren asterix and was banned from the sequel Women’s Challenge Cup.
In the first two sets, where everything was decided, Aris couldn’t put pressure on the reception of the Belgian team, while on the contrary he had enough problems (in reception and attack) to easily go 2-0.
Tsaireli’s athletes were still able to reduce to 2-1 (with young Dafopoulos coming into the match and playing as a starter in the last two sets) and trying to send the match into a tiebreak, but Asterix picked up the details in the fourth set and achieved victory.
