Men’s Cup: Qualification for AEK and Aris in the 3rd phase with the Volley League teams
AEK and Aris found the victories that sent them into the 3rd phase of the Men’s Greek Cup where the Volleyleague teams are waiting for them.
AEK and Aris qualified for Round 1 of the 3rd phase of the Men’s Greek Cup.
The Union clinched a superb 3-1 victory at the home of Heraklion, with the two sides going head-to-head for the Premier League championship next Saturday.
Aris had a rough time against Hephaestus in the crowded Florina Hall. Hefaistos came close to a great victory qualification with the help of the crowd as he led by a 2-0 set. Aris won the crucial third set in detail and won the tiebreak with a sustained counterattack.
The draw for the 1st round of the 3rd phase will take place on Thursday 19.1. at 12.00 at the EOPE offices and the winners of the 2nd round of the 2nd phase and the volley league teams who placed 5th will take part in the lottery 10 in the 1st round of the championship (AOP Kifisias, AO Foinikas Syros ONEX, Pegasos Polichnis, AS Athlos Orestiadas, OFI, FES Aristotelis Skydras) .
