Olympiacos – Panathinaikos: The days and referees of the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup

All the details of the matches between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos for the semifinals of the Challenge Cup in men’s volleyball have become known. Ticket sales for the first game have started.

The countdown to the eternal duels between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos in the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup is running into the final phase.

As has become known, the two games will take place in “Melina Merkouri” and in the hall of Amarousiou. THE The first game will take place on Tuesday (7th February) at 8 p.m. and the second semi-final in Agios Thomas on Wednesday (15th February) at 7 p.m.

In the first semi-final, the first referee will be Alexandros Nikolakis, followed by Nikos Fragakis, while in the second semi-final, the first referee will be Nontas Gerothodoros and the second will be Alexandros Avramidis.

The corresponding announcement in detail: “OLYMPIAKOS SFP, for the first semi-final of the CEV Challenge Cup in the hall of Rentis “M. Merkouris” (Tuesday 2/7, 20:00), vs Panathinaikos, informs its fans and members of the following:

Ticket sales will start on Wednesday (February 1st) at 10:00 a.m. and will take place in the Members/Fans Department office in the “G. Karaiskakis” (under door 19-Emporiki Stoa) daily and 10:00-18:00.

Ticket prices are as follows: €10 (middle stand), €20 (VIP), €30 seats (second row), €50 seats (first row).

*The membership card is not valid in the first semi-final of the CEV Challenge Cup in the Rentishalle, only the volleyball season tickets.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane

The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.

The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.

“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”

I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.

I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.

The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

Lokomotiv volleyball players beat MSTU in a Russian championship match

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Moscow MSTU in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.

The meeting in Moscow ended with a score of 3–2 (25:21, 20:25, 25:23, 23:25, 15:10) in favor of the guests.

Lokomotiv scored 44 points and ranks second in the Super League standings, MSTU (6 points) is 16th.

In other matches of the day, the Gazprom-Ugra club beat Dynamo-Ural from Ufa at home (3–0, 26:24, 28:26, 25:21), Nizhny Novgorod Gorky lost away to Orenburg (0–3, 28:30, 11:25, 25:27), Belogorye took victory over Yaroslavich in Tula (3–0, 25:17, 25:15, 25:22).

St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
