Men’s Volleyball League: Finikas beat Panathinaikos 3-0, an easy three points for Olympiakos
Finikas won a 3-0 set against Panathinaikos, who played without Hernandez and Kovar, while Olympiacos easily won a 3-0 set against Aristotelis Skydras.
In the men’s Volley League derby, Foinikas Syrou won a 3-0 set against Panathinaikos and allowed himself a clear breather in the duel of the four.
The greens lined up without both Hernandez and Kovar having many ups and downs in their performance. On the opposite bank, Phoenix continued its upward course.
The match: Panathinaikos was the one who came into the game better, leading 5-10, but Papalexious’ serves allowed Foinikas to concede the difference and pass at 12-11.
The Greens immediately took over again and reached +4 again with 17-21. But again they presented problems in reception as Ierethuelo did a lot of damage with his serves.
New twist on Rangel’s blockset Panathinaikos took first place in a bowl set, but it was Phoenix who celebrated Michalovic’s blockset’s win over Sander 26-24.
The second sentence does not deserve any special analysis. From the start, Phoenix managed to escape the points tally and earn his win, 25-13.
The third set was uneventful, with the two teams going point for point and the Greens holding a slim lead for most of it.
But again, Phoenix had the solutions in the final. With two points from Michalovic and Ierethuelo, the Syrians made it 27:25 and ended the game.

Slightly Olympiacos Aristotle
Nikifora continued his commitments in the Championship, Olympiacos’ men’s volleyball team. The Red-Whites played with several substitutions and sat down in the final of Renti’s “M. Mercury”.
Giuliani gave Stern, Pagenk, Koumendakis, Chandrino and Koltsiakis rests, but that didn’t stop his team from getting the three points.
Olympiacos are now putting the championship aside and turning their attention to the first major semi-final of the Challenge Cup on Tuesday (7/2, 20:00) in Rentis against Panathinaikos.
