Women’s Volleyball League: AEK won three sets 25-5, PAOK leads, victories for Olympiakos and Panathinaikos
AEK earned the Matchday 15 victory after beating ZAON 3-0 and all sets equal! PAOK subdued Ilysiakos and remained a pioneer, victories for Olympiakos and Panathinaikos.
As expected, AEK got an easy three points against ZAON and was held in 2nd place and at -4 by pioneer PAOK after 15 games in the Women’s Volley League.
Yunus Ocal rested Calderon, Silva, Konstantinidou, Artakianou and used Kulikova, Kalandatze for a while, but the performance difference with the small gymnasts of ZAON was so big that he brought a number of records (shortest fight duration, less points in a fight, less points in sentences).

PAOK is always at the top
PAOK celebrated another win and remained at the top of the table. Both Marco Feolio and Katalin Kiss gave all their gymnasts time to compete, with Ilysiakos being competitive in the first two sets.
Early in the game, Ilysiakos, exploiting PAOK’s mistakes, converted 4-4 to 5-9, but Dikefalos responded with his own run to 8-9 and a little later, 9-11 became 13-11 for them to make Black- Do not lose the lead again. With Blanco serving, PAOK escaped 17-13 to comfortably go 25-17.
In the second set, PAOK impressed at the start as they led 6-0 and quickly made it 11-4, which became 11-8 with three aces from Ziga! And this difference was maintained until the 17-14, which became 19-14 to reach the final 25-18 with relative ease.
PAOK continued at the same pace in the third set (6-1), with Ilysiakos responding quickly (6-4 with an ace from Brooks), but just as quickly the difference reopened to reach 11-4. The visitors failed to threaten again as PAOK went 25-10.

Olympiacos comfortably against Aegaleo
Olympiacos prevailed 3-0 set by Egaleo in “Melina Merkouri”, who celebrates his 11th win this year.
Lorenzo Micelli rested Militsa Koumboura while Maria Tsitsigianni took the starter’s shirt and finished the game with 13 points, two fewer than Vilma Salas, who was the top scorer with 15 points. Captain Stella Christodoulou also returned to the starting XI, while international Aristea Todai made her debut in the red and white jersey.
Olympiacos, armed with the serve and the block, got the three victory points after 72 minutes that keep them at -2 ahead of the third Panathinaikos.
Aegaleo struggled the game but the Red-Whites found the solutions at the crucial points of the game to reach the final result.
Before the game started, Vilma Salas was honored for being named KYANA MVP of Matchday 14. The award to the Cuban extreme of Olympiacos was presented by amateur artist board member Alekos Adamantopoulos along with his daughter.

Double in two hours for Panathinaikos
Panathinaikos left Santorini victorious as they struggled to prevail after almost two hours of play 3:1 set from AO Thira.
The Greens stayed at -1 from second AEK and -4 from pioneer PAOK, while AOTH lost ground and is now threatened by Thetida Voulas at number five.
The Santorini team was in control in the first two sets until 16:11, with Panathinaikos making as many reversals for 22:25 and 21:25, taking a 2-0 set lead.
In the third set, AO Thiras reacted and managed to lead the game into the fourth set by 25-23.
There the hosts were in the lead until 17:16, whereby Panathinaikos and server Irini Hatzieustratiadou scored a 0:4 series to 17:20. Set and match ended 19-25.

Breath of victory for Mars
Great three pointer with 3-0 set on him Markopoulou Aris celebrated at the Mikras indoor competition and climbed to 8th place overall.
The “yellow-blacks” with the three points of victory came to 18 points, one less than Markopoulos and Thetida (has one game less), and now have an advantage in the duel with the Mediterranean team, as they have more points ratio between them games (133-131).

Thetis won at Lamia
Back to the victories for the Thetida Voulas who left her headquarters with the three dots lamia.
This was Thetida’s first win after three consecutive negative results, while Lamia suffered their fourth loss in as many games in the second round of the championship.
The guests started the match impressively, easily winning the first set, but the continuation was different.
In the second game, Thetis escaped 5-8, but Rosiadou’s serves brought the score to 10-8, with Lamia maintaining a 1-3 point difference until the end.
In the third set, 14-15 became 14-18 with home team errors that couldn’t threaten, while Thetis escaped in the fourth set to 12-17 with the home team nagging at the difference (17-19, 20-21), but at 22-23, Varbanova lost a tiebreak (22-24) and Hayden ended the match.
