Panathinaikos announced sold out for Olympiakos rematch due to lack of tickets available
Panathinaikos announced on Wednesday (15/2) at the closed Agios Thomas Stadium that they were sold out for the second leg of the Challenge Cup, with the Greens stressing that no tickets will be released as capacity does not allow them to be issued.
Panathinaikos beat Olympiakos 3-1 in the first semi-final of the two teams for the Challenge Cup and took the lead in qualifying ahead of the second leg, which will be played on Wednesday (15 February) at the Agios Thomas indoor stadium.
In fact, the Greens announced on Wednesday morning (02/08) that the game will be played to a full house as it is already sold out as there will be no season tickets and invitations for sponsors and athletes to cover the stadium’s small capacity.
The relevant announcement states:
“Panathinaikos Athletic Club informs fans about the rematch with Olympiakos for the Challenge Cup on Wednesday February 15 at 7pm at the closed Agios Thomas in Maroussi.
The management of the “Cloverleaf” would like to thank the people for their great thirst and interest in attending the game with Olympiacos.
From here onwards, the capacity information for the St. Thomas Hall in Maroussi no longer allows tickets to be issued, since the season tickets are around 950 and the remaining minimum spaces are occupied by invitations from sponsors and athletes.
Access is therefore granted to holders of season tickets and holders of an invitation or accreditation for the respective game.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
