Olympiakos is ready for the first final against Maccabi where you will see the game
On Sunday evening (May 3rd, 8:30 p.m.) Olympiakos will meet Maccabi in the first final of the Challenge Cup away from home and want to set the course for winning the trophy.
Another historic appointment is coming up for the Olympiakos men’s volleyball team, which will play against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Sunday evening (May 3rd, 8:30 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 6) in the first final of the “Shlomo Group Arena” Challenge Cup.
The “Red-Whites”, who have been in Israel since Friday evening (3/3), are ready and determined to get the best possible result against Maccabi and want to take the lead in the “battle” for their third European title!
On Saturday afternoon (March 4th), Alberto Giuliani’s team trained on the Tihonek school grounds. On Sunday morning, the day of the first European final against the Israelis, Olympiacos trains at the Shlomo Group Arena.
It should be remembered that Olympiacos will play the second final of the Challenge Cup next Wednesday (15/3, 20:00 CET) against the Israeli team at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.
Olympiacos’ Italian passer Dragan Travica said on the official website of the red and white team: “And now… the finale. The finals are always something that excites the athletes. We are proud to be here. Two very strong teams will play on the field, the best of the Challenge Cup. We start in Tel Aviv , it will be difficult for us but we want to do our best and we’ll see what happens. The second game will be at home with our people, but for now we’re just concentrating on tomorrow, the first final.”
Olympiacos international Raphael Koumentakis said: “For us, the first game is very important, it’s going to be a very tough game for sure. Maccabi didn’t get to this point by accident, they’re not easy opponents, but we know what we have to do. We’ll do it.” give 101% and we’ll see. A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

Volleyball players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” beat “Nova” and won their fifth victory in a row in the Super League
St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
In other matches of the day, Zenit Kazan beat Krasnoyarsk Yenisey at home – 3-1 (25:18, 25:20, 25:27, 25:20), the Dynamo-LO club (Sosnovy Bor) defeated Kemerovo Kuzbass at home – 3-0 (25:15, 25:19, 25:20).
The leader in the table is Zenit Kazan (16 wins, 45 points), Zenit from St. Petersburg (14 wins, 43 points) is second.
