Women’s Volley League: Olympiacos – Panathinaikos stands out
In the 24th game of the Women’s Volley League, Olympiacos host Panathinaikos (7.30pm) in a match that can judge first place in the regular season.
The eternal Olympiacos-Panathinaikos derby, in which the fight for first place in the regular season is decisive, as well as the game Elysiakos-Porphyras, which decides whereabouts, stand out in the program of the 24th match of the women’s volleyball league.
With Panathinaikos at +6 and three rounds to go to end the regular season, the criticality of the game (7:30pm, first serve) is easy to understand as the two teams have already met twice this year and Panathinaikos won both (3-1 in the first round and 3-2 in the match for the 16 of the cup)
“Saturday is another game with Panathinaikos and we have to play better than the previous one. We have to do everything we can to win. Panathinaikos are a good team, they play well in defense and blocking. We have to take every point. It will be It’s not an easy game, we know that, but I think we can play better with Panathinaikos than the previous one.”I have faith in my athletes,” commented Carlo Paris.
For his part, Panathinaikos coach Apostolos Oikonomou remarked: “It’s a very important game because we’re both fighting for first place and it’s definitely crucial. For Olympiacos in particular it has the character of a final because if they don’t get the treble it will be difficult for them, but we also want to prove that we’re better in terms of goals and psychological reasons.
Olympiakos are in good shape, have improved since the cup game and we have to push ourselves to the limit. The fact that we’ve won our two games so far doesn’t say anything, because every game has a different character and you can’t make any predictions, especially in a derby of eternity
“Moreover, if Olympiacos decides to play against August, it will rise very aggressively and we have to take it to the reception.”
At the same time, red-white and green are fighting for first place in the regular season in “A. Fotsis »Elysiakos and Porphyras face off in a crucial game in the Battle of the Eve, with the guests having another point.
