“I thought that in Europe they don’t get into your life.” Russian volleyball player reprimanded for dirty dishes
The representative of the club was shocked after visiting Catherine’s apartment.
A European career is the dream of many Russian athletes. However, not everyone, when moving abroad, is ready for life in the new realities. The Russian volleyball player hoped that personal boundaries were respected in France and was shocked when she was reprimanded as a child for dirty dishes.

Russian volleyball player Ekaterina Lazareva spent a significant part of her professional career in her native country. The girl managed to play in such teams as Zarechye-Odintsovo, Lipetsk-Indesit, Sakhalin, Dynamo from Krasnodar and Dynamo-Ak Bars from Kazan. In January 2023, the athlete decided to try her hand at a foreign championship and opted for the French club Levallois.
The new team performs poorly in the national championship and, after a series of defeats, is among the outsiders. But due to problems with the playing practice of the Russian setter, there is no need to worry. With the sports component in France, Catherine is all right. There are difficulties in adapting to local realities. The girl complains about the interference in her personal life, which she did not expect in a European country.
– I thought that in Europe, as everyone tells me, they look at your personal boundaries, do not climb into your life. Something that in Russia, let’s say, is very fond of breaking. The landlady and the woman from the club were supposed to come to me. I said, “Yes, okay, come on. I, however, will not be in the apartment. I’ll be in training.” They came. After that they write: “Katya, we are in shock, the hostess is in shock. You are so dirty, so not cleaned up! – Lazareva told subscribers on social networks.
According to Ekaterina, she had dirty dishes in the sink, and there was a cucumber on the cutting board. Formally, the presence of dirty dishes allows you to say that there is something dirty in the apartment. And a vegetable left unattended made it possible to declare that not everything was cleaned in the provided housing. But the Russian volleyball player was very hurt by this approach. Lazareva said that this is her personal life and she is so comfortable living.
Heap, theft and homeless
– I say: “I do not damage the property, everything is in good condition. It’s not for you to say anything to me. Because I wrote to you that we have a pile in the entrance, it needs to be removed and the floors washed. So that you inform the owner of the apartment, and she is already where she needs to be. You ignored me, and I am more than sure that you were now walking in my apartment in street shoes, ”the volleyball player told subscribers a conversation with a representative of the club.
Curiously, in a short period of speaking abroad, Lazareva is not the first time she has been outraged by French realities on social networks. The girl does not like that there are a lot of homeless people who are constantly trying to invade personal space. Frustrates a large number of thefts on the streets of European cities.
It remains to be hoped that by the end of the season no one will offend our athlete on the street and no one will fly in from the club management for unwashed dishes. But after the completion of the contract, Ekaterina should think carefully about returning to Russia – we still don’t scold us for half-eaten cucumbers.
